Fault is a creative practice and the culmination of a long collaboration between Reuben, Tajevir, and Yuxian. Our complementary experiences have converged into a shared body of work at the intersection of place, design, and culture.

           We take our name from geology; a fault is the active zone between masses, a threshold of pressure, exchange, and slow formation. Our practice works in that same space; between disciplines, between the designed and the inhabited, between how people live and how that life takes solid form. We are drawn to these boundary moments; where buildings become a neighbourhood, where an image becomes a memory, where a community recognises itself in something made. We think the most interesting work happens not at the centre of things, but at the edge where worlds meet.
